Evaluating Development Policies Crossing Paths: Researchers and Field Actors
June 8 - 9, 2009
This conference brings together economists and development practitioners from around the world. This two-day event includes presentation and discussion of results from randomized evaluations and their practical applications, connecting the viewpoints of researchers and those who run anti-poverty programs around the world. The social experiments to be discussed, the majority of which were run by researchers affiliated with the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), address important questions across many sectors, including microfinance, governance, conditional cash transfer programs, employment, health and education
