Neurological and psychiatric afflictions form a continuum, the possible manifestation of a great etiological heterogeneity. We will explore the avenues opened by many specialists who contend that developmental and evolutionary approaches, and both if we look at the evolution of development, may shed some light on the origin of these pathologies
