Teams Hosted

Presentation

Launched a few years ago, especially in the field of biology, the policy of hosting teams independent of chairs has developed.
The objective of this new approach is to facilitate chair successions, contribute to the development of young teams and thereby foster mobility and collaboration with other partners.

These teams are evaluated and supported by research bodies or other institutions. They can be set up within the Collège de France itself, following a professor's retirement or can correspond to young teams in training, selected after an invitation to tender.
After a favourable Assembly vote, they are hosted within the framework of a four-year agreement that can be renewed once.
A group of professors is in charge of the evaluation of these hosted teams.
Since 2001, two teams formed following the retirement of Professors G. Dagron and J.Teixidor, three teams from the Far Eastern Institutes and two young biology teams, have been hosted after internal evaluation and consultation with the CNRS or INSERM.
They can thus benefit from the joint facilities of the Collège de France.
