General library

The library’s general collection covers fields within the human sciences which reflect the special interests of successive chairs, with a predominance of works on classical Antiquity and its related specialisms, literature of the Middle Ages, linguistics, art and archaeology. The corpus and large collections in these fields are constantly renewed and updated.
