How did the god of Israel and Judah become the one god of monotheism? The lectures and seminars will trace the history of the god Yahweh between the tenth and fourth centuries BCE. It will seek to provide answers to the following questions: Was there a statue of Yahweh in the temple in Jerusalem and the sanctuaries of the Northern kingdom? Was the goddess Asherah Yahweh's wife?
