Abstract

This final lecture will explore the role of sleep as a privileged state of dialogue between body and brain. It will show how sleep modifies the activity of cerebral and systemic immune cells, with consequences for the stabilization of neural circuits and the elimination of metabolic waste products. The lecture will extend this perspective to circadian rhythms, highlighting how the temporal synchronization of immune functions contributes to maintaining the functional balance between brain and body.
