Abstract
In recent years, the question of the relationship between women and hunting in prehistoric times has once again come to the fore. Whether in productions aimed at the general public or in widely-reported scientific publications, traditional certainties are regularly and vociferously challenged. While it's not difficult to see in this renewed interest in the distant past an echo of current concerns, it's important to investigate carefully the current state of knowledge on this issue, as well as to weigh up its real implications on the perspective of female emancipation.
