Collège de France Award 2025

Chloé Santoro - patrick Imbert.

Since 2022, the Collège de France Award for Young Researchers has rewarded a young scientist for the excellence of his or her career and the innovative nature of his or her contributions to public research.

The prize consists of a cash award of 20 000 euros and a presentation of the research in front of an audience at the Collège de France.

In keeping with the multidisciplinary spirit of the Collège de France, the prize is awarded alternately each year to a winner in the fields of mathematical, computer, experimental and natural sciences, or humanities and social sciences. Candidates must have defended their thesis less than seven years ago, and be working in a public research laboratory in France.

In 2025, the Collège de France Award went to Chloé Santoro, philosopher, on the theme " Savoirs et démocratie " (law, history and philosophy).

The jury was co-chaired by Samantha Besson, jurist, holder of the International Law of Institutions chair at the Collège de France, and Antoine Lilti, historian, holder of the History of the Enlightenment, 18th to 21st century chair.

Chloé Santoro will give an open lecture on her research topics at the Collège de France on December 10 at 6 pm .
