Abstract

As part of the organic chemistry, radical chemistry is an important research area as the one electron reactivity is complementary to the ones of the two electrons and polar manifolds. In this regard, electrochemistry, which enjoy a renewal, offers interesting approaches to broaden the current know-how of the synthetic chemist community.

Herein, our efforts to develop electrooxidative process for the functionalization of alkenes and alkynes will be presented. The electrochemical synthesis of boron and silyl containing molecules, as well as the introduction of fluorinated residues on electron-rich alkenes (i.e. enamides and styrenes) will be disclosed. Finally, electrochemical alternatives to the use of bromine or iodine will be presented.
