All lectures
Lectures at the Collège de France are open to the public free of charge and without registration, subject to availability. We recommend that all members of the public arrive at least 30 minutes before the lecture starts, to allow for the necessary security checks. Places cannot be reserved and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis only. In the event of overcrowding, the public may be directed to a transmission room.
These lectures are given by Collège de France professors , each of whom is elected by his or her peers and appointed by the President of France. In addition to the statutory professorships, the annual professorships and the visiting lecturers program offer the opportunity to welcome eminent French and foreign researchers for a shorter period of time, at the initiative of the Collège de France assembly.
Special events bring together conferences, round tables and exceptional meetings focusing on contemporary issues in science and culture.
