Cecilia Carmignoto is PhD candidate trained in genomics and molecular biology. She is interested in gene regulation, particularly in the context of development where precise spatiotemporal tuning of gene expression is fundamental. Transcriptional dynamics are driven by the complex interplay between cell-type specific transcription factors, regulatory elements and chromatin folding. She aims to capture and integrate these different aspects starting from sc-multiomics and HiC data, hoping to shed some light on gene regulation dynamics from a genome wide perspective.
