Giada Di Giuseppe studied classical literature and philology at the University of Rome “La Sapienza.” Her Master’s thesis, which focused on the correspondence between Libanius and Basil of Caesarea, was awarded the Pierre-Louis Malosse Prize. In 2023, she earned a diploma in Greek paleography from the Vatican School of Paleography, Diplomatics, and Archival Science. In 2026, she completed a Ph.D. in religious studies through an international joint supervision program between the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and the École Pratique des Hautes Études in Paris. Her dissertation focuses on the edition, translation, and study of the Synopsis Scripturae Sacrae attributed to Athanasius of Alexandria, a 4th-century AD Church Father.
Her current research focuses on the Synopseis of Sacred Scripture during the patristic and Byzantine periods and, more generally, on biblical paratexts. Since November 2025, she has been conducting research at the Collège de France thanks to a postdoctoral fellowship from “La Sapienza” University.
Giada Di Giuseppe is the recipient of the 2026 Anna Caroppo Scholarship from the Collège de France Foundation, nominated by Prof. Jean-Luc Fournet, holder of the Chair in Written Culture in Late Antiquity and Byzantine Papyrology.
