This self-contained lecture begins by discussing the proper place of moral realism within the framework I introduced in The Primacy of Metaphysics (Oxford, 2019). I argue that moral realism should be treated as a metaphysics-first case. Correspondingly, I argue against no-priority views that introduce elements of mind-dependence into the metaphysics of morals, and equally against the idea that reflective equilibrium can provide all we need in the way of objectivity for moral thought. A treatment of the metaphysics of moral properties is developed, along with a correspondingly integrated theory of grasp of moral concepts.
