Loélia Perrault trained as a chemist. She holds a Master's degree in Chemistry, specializing in Organic Molecular Chemistry, from Sorbonne University. Prior to this, she obtained a DUT in Chemistry and a Licence in Chemistry from the University of Le Mans.
She has developed a solid expertise in organic and organometallic synthesis through several research experiences in France and abroad. She has worked at the University of St Andrews, the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and Sorbonne University.
Her work has focused on the synthesis and characterization of complex molecules, including organophosphorus compounds, organogermanes and sulfur heterocycles. She is currently preparing a thesis at the Laboratoire d'Activation Moléculaire (Collège de France), under the supervision of Professor Louis Fensterbank. Her research project is devoted to the development of new ligands for the protection of aluminum alloys. Driven by an academic vocation, her ambition is to pursue a career as a teacher-researcher.
