Marouane Libiad is a biochemist with strong expertise in molecular and cell biology who obtained his PhD in biochemistry from the University of Lorraine in the laboratory of Prof. Guy Branlant. Her academic career was enriched by post-doctoral experience in France and the United States. His first professional experience in the USA was at the University of Michigan in the laboratory of Prof. Ruma Banerjee, and the second at CEA Saclay in the laboratory of Dr. Michel Toledano. He recently joined the Chemistry of Biological Processes Laboratory at the Collège de France under the direction of Prof. Marc Fontecave. As a postdoctoral researcher, he was particularly interested in the molecular mechanisms of biomolecules, especially enzymes. More specifically, his research at the Collège de France focused on the study of chemical modifications of transfer RNAs by radical insertion involving two metalloproteins, MiaB and MiaE.
