Organization

The Collège de France is led by an administrator—a professor elected by his or her peers within the Collège de France assembly—who sets the institution’s policy.

It is organized into chairs. The chairs and research teams associated with the Collège de France may be grouped into institutes under the conditions set forth in the institution’s internal regulations.

The Collège de France houses laboratories, for which it shares oversight with research organizations and institutions of higher education and research, as well as libraries dedicated to its heritage and research collections.
