Rodrigo Senovilla-Ganzo is an evolutionary developmental biologist trained in molecular biology and neuroscience. His research investigates how gene regulatory networks evolve within the constrained cell identity and patterning dynamics. He mostly works with multi-omic and computational approaches to track evolutionary changes across development and species. In his current project, he employs human and mouse in vitro gastruloids to profile chromatin organization dynamics, compare gene regulatory networks, and perform targeted perturbations to establish causality for evolutionary differences. He hopes to reveal divergent mechanisms acting early in development while distilling shared mammalian principles of gene regulation!
