Présentation

Shinan Luan began her Ph.D. studies at INSA Rouen Normandie in 2020 under the supervision of Prof. Thomas Poisson and Dr. Thomas Castanheiro at COBRA Laboratory (now CARMeN Institute). Her doctoral research mainly focused on electrochemical organic synthesis, developing efficient methods for the synthesis of fluorine-containing molecules and organic halides, during which she acquired experience in electroorganic synthesis and flow electrochemistry. She received her Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Normandie Université in 2023. Before starting her Ph.D. in France, she obtained a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Zhengzhou University (China) in 2020. Her master’s research focused on C-C and C-N bond construction of nitrogen-containing heterocycles.

In April 2025, she joined the Laboratoire d’Activation Moléculaire (LAM) of the Collège de France and works with Dr. Camille Lescot and Prof. Louis Fensterbank. Her current research focuses on flow chemistry, in particular two-phase gas–liquid reactions involving ethylene.
