P-adic Modular Forms and the Work of Pan

Abstract

In this first talk we give an introduction of the theory of p-adic modular forms and to the completed cohomology groups of the modular curve. We recall the theory of Lue Pan of locally analytic vectors in completed cohomology and the relevance of p-adic differential equations.
