The fifth lecture focused on the molecular and cellular mechanisms of immune response manipulation by pathogens. This is a cutting-edge topic on which my Research Unit is working, and it provided a very up-to-date review of the major strategies and mechanisms as we are beginning to understand them, analyze them and put them into perspective.
