Aurélien Barrau
An astrophysicist specializing in general relativity, black hole physics, and cosmology, Aurélien Barrau is a professor at the University of Grenoble-Alpes and works at the CNRS Laboratory of Subatomic Physics and Cosmology (IN2P3) in Grenoble. In the past, he has collaborated with Stanford University and the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. He is the recipient of several scientific awards, an honorary member of the Institut universitaire de France, and holds a doctorate in philosophy from Paris-Sorbonne University. The author of several popular science books, he regularly gives public lectures on astronomy and cosmology. With close ties to the cultural world, he served as a consultant on Claire Denis’s feature film *High Life*, released in 2018.
