Since 2017, PAUSE has been giving concrete expression to France's duty of solidarity by supporting the emergency reception of threatened scientists and artists around the world. More than 720 women and men, accompanied by their families, have thus been able to find refuge in France to continue creating, teaching, researching and building a future, despite war, repression and exile. But today, France's essential action through PAUSE is seriously threatened by the suspension of evacuations from Gaza and insufficient funding.
