Call for solidarity

PAUSE program

The Programme d'accueil en urgence des scientifiques et des artistes en exil (PAUSE), supported by the Collège de France, is launching an urgent appeal to the French government and civil society.

pAUSE - National emergency program for scientists and artists in exile

Since 2017, PAUSE has been giving concrete expression to France's duty of solidarity by supporting the emergency reception of threatened scientists and artists around the world. More than 720 women and men, accompanied by their families, have thus been able to find refuge in France to continue creating, teaching, researching and building a future, despite war, repression and exile. But today, France's essential action through PAUSE is seriously threatened by the suspension of evacuations from Gaza and insufficient funding.

How can we help scientists and artists pursue their work in safety?

  • Making a donation to PAUSE is the most direct and concrete way to
  • Relay this appeal, spread the word, mobilize those in a position to support us financially
