A new treatment for high blood pressure that acts on the brain

An enzyme called aminopeptidase A (APA) is a potential therapeutic target for the treatment of certain forms of arterial hypertension. This is what Catherine Llorens-Cortes, director of Inserm Unit 691 "Central neuropeptides and water and cardiovascular regulation", and her team have just shown, in collaboration with Bernard Roques' team in Inserm Unit 640 "Clinical and genetic pharmacology".
