The Archives of André Bourgeot, Anthropologist of Nomadism

André Bourgeot, a research director at the CNRS and a member of the Laboratory of Social Anthropology (LAS – UMR7130), is a specialist in the political anthropology of nomadism. His research, conducted from a comparative perspective that combines African and Asian fieldwork, has contributed to our understanding of nomadic societies. Among other things, he has followed the Kel Ewey Tuareg and their caravans and collected a substantial body of photographic documentation.
