Presentation

Claude Grison is Director of Research at the CNRS and Director of the Laboratory for Bio-inspired Chemistry and Ecological Innovations. She is at the origin of the Ecocatalyse® concept, which has given rise to a new line of research at the interface of bio-inspired chemistry and scientific ecology. It corresponds to a global approach to sustainable development, leading today to the development of a new green industry, based on the ecological restoration of polluted terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, the conservation of wetlands subject to the uncontrolled development of invasive species, and an unprecedented chemical and economic valorization of phytotechnologies developed in the service of biodiversity. His research activities have led to the creation of three companies : Stratoz, BIOINSPIR and Laboratoires Bioprotection.

Claude Grison is the author of one hundred and ninety-four publications and books, forty-seven patents and two hundred and thirty-eight conferences. His work has been recognized by fifteen scientific prizes, including the Prix de la Femme d'influence (Économie) 2023, the Prix de l'Inventeur européen 2022, the Prix A. Joannides Prize of the French Academy of Sciences 2016, the Man-Nature Prize of the Sommer Foundation 2016 and the CNRS Innovation Medal 2014.

Claude Grison is a member of the Académie des sciences, the Académie nationale de pharmacie and the European Academy of Sciences.
