Abstract
The most common reaction conducted in medicinal chemistry is an amide bond formation. As a consequence, carboxylic acids and amines are among the most prevalent commercially available functional groups. We have developed several strategies to activate primary amines for downstream functionalization including cross-coupling, isotopic editing and orthogonal heterocycle introduction.
