    A specialist in The Hebrew Bible and its Contexts in the ancient world, Thomas Römer has held the Professorship of The Hebrew Bible and its Contexts at the Collège de France since 2007, and has been Administrator of the Collège de France since September1, 2019. An internationally renowned researcher, he is the author of over 350 scientific publications. His work combines a history of religion approach based on philological and literary analysis of texts with the history and archaeology of the Ancient Near East. Thomas Römer is a Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honor.
