Opening Symposia

Every fall since 2001, the Collège de France has organized a major interdisciplinary conference bringing together professors from the institution and French and international researchers to discuss a theme that changes each year and often addresses significant societal issues.

The books resulting from these conferences are published in partnership with Éditions Odile Jacob.

As part of this same partnership, the Collège de France has also published works based on symposia, seminars, and lecture series in a collection titled “Travaux du Collège de France.”
