Conference in honor of Didier Fassin

From April 18 to 20 2026, the School of Social Sciences at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, USA, will host a three-day colloquium in tribute to the work of Prof. Didier Fassin.
This international event will bring together leading scholars to explore Pr Didier Fassin's major contributions to the social sciences, from his groundbreaking work in moral anthropology to his critical and illuminating studies of policing practices, migration and public health. The colloquium will feature in-depth discussions on ethnographic methodology, the ethics of fieldwork in contexts of violence and precariousness, and the links between creative practice and research.
