The event, organized in December 2024 to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the Centre d'études tibétaines (CET) at the Collège de France, was an opportunity to present Thomas Laird's monumental publication on Tibetan wall paintings. This very large work (50x70 cm), which is an art object in its own right (SUMO format, originally presented on a lectern), is the most eye-catching piece in a teeming field of research. Indeed, the Tibetan Studies Library has recently acquired a dozen monographs on Tibetan wall paintings.
