Since the late 1920s, the collection of primary sources in this field has been one of the priorities of the Collège de France's Chinese Studies Library. The legal collections held there fall into six categories, covering not only codes and legal institutions as such, as well as doctrinal works, but also reference manuals from judicial practice.
