Pierre-Yves Testenoire is a lecturer in language sciences at Sorbonne University/INSPÉ, Paris. He is a member of the Laboratoire d'histoire des théories linguistiques (UMR 7597). His research focuses on the history of linguistic ideas in the 20th century. He is particularly interested in the history of Saussurean thought and the relationship between linguistics and poetics. A Saussure specialist, he is the author of the first edition of a major corpus of the linguist's manuscripts on anagrams(Anagrammes homériques, 2013) and a monograph on the subject(Ferdinand de Saussure à la recherche des anagrammes, 2013). He is currently working on an edition of Jakobson's lectures in New York during the Second World War.
