Laurent Barry is an anthropologist, researcher at the Laboratoire d'anthropologie sociale du Collège de France and lecturer at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS). He is the author of numerous studies on kinship and alliance systems from a comparative perspective. These questions, linked to the anthropology of kinship but also to themes such as the anthropology of sexuality or the synergy between models and theories developed in the life sciences (biology, ethology, synthetic theory of evolution, etc.) and in the social sciences, are developed in his seminars and writings.
