Misato Mochizuki is a composer. She studied music in Tokyo and Paris, and is the author of some forty pieces, including fifteen symphonic works and eleven pieces for ensemble. Her works include La Chambre claire (1998) and Camera lucida (1999), both inspired by her reading of Roland Barthes.
