The Laboratoire d'anthropologie sociale pays tribute to Florence Brunois-Pasina, who passed away on May 13, 2025, with a day dedicated to her memory on Thursday, June 19, 2025. A dedicated ethnographer and teacher, Florence Brunois-Pasina left her mark on the field of anthropology through her pioneering research on interspecific relations and her innovative approach to " ethno-ethology ". Director of research at the CNRS and member of the Laboratoire d'anthropologie sociale, she has devoted her life to studying the Kasua peoples of Papua New Guinea and the Batooro of Uganda. Her work, rooted in interdisciplinarity, has helped refound the ethnosciences paradigm and promote new anthropological writings. This one-day event, organized at the Collège de France, in the Guillaume Budé Amphitheatre, will celebrate his exceptional scientific and human legacy.

The event is open to all, with free access, subject to availability.
