In the future, biotechnology will considerably improve the treatment of patients. It will increase life expectancy. But this industry will have to resolve certain ethical issues, such as therapeutic cloning and the use of stem cells. Biotechnology will also have to deal with the problems of rising healthcare costs and access to these new medicines for developing countries. In any case, biotechnology will continue to grow faster than other industries, and will increasingly become a key sector of industry.
