Abstract

The writing of law, particularly in the 2nd millennium B.C., took different forms depending on the type of source, both in terms of modes of expression and the content of the rules used. This diversity reflects the varied purposes of legal writing, but also illustrates common references that were widely disseminated, as evidenced by the epistolary corpus.
