Key dates in October 2025

October events at Collège de France

At the Collège de France, lectures are open to all, with no conditions of access or prior registration, subject to availability.

Major events

Opening symposium "Forms of intelligence: AI, knowledge, deduction, learning"

The rise of AI is challenging, if not the practices, at least the epistemologies of all disciplines. What's more, this technological advance is having such powerful (and unpredictable) political, economic and social repercussions that it's prompting the Collège de France to rediscover its original mission: to put science before society. That's why we're dedicating this year's opening symposium to it, with a resolutely interdisciplinary approach.

October 16 and 17, 2025 at the Collège de France (Marguerite de Navarre amphitheatre).

Fête de la science 2025

The ChADoC (Chercheurs Associés et Doctorants du Collège de France) invite you to a festive and exciting day of science. On the program: interactive workshops, a new police investigation at the Collège de France, laboratory visits and access to the "Quantum Workshop" exhibition.

Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 10am to 6pm at the Collège de France (Marcelin-Berthelot site).

Inheriting the future (continued)

As part of its commitment to a shared sustainable future, the Collège de France is organizing a series of round-table discussions bringing together leading figures from the worlds of academia, business, associations and institutions, and students from higher education.

Conceived as a structured forum for dialogue, this cycle aims to enable the younger generation to question, understand and debate the major issues surrounding climate change. It is part of a process of transmitting knowledge, but also of active listening and co-construction. The Collège de France plays the role of guarantor and facilitator, ensuring the scientific quality of exchanges without influencing their content.
