Anna Maria Babbi, professor at the University of Verona, has analyzed and interpreted Carlo Goldoni's 1758 play inspired by the romantic chanson de geste of Bueve de Hantone ("The long road of Bueve de Hantone:Carlo Goldoni's 'dramma giocoso'").
